A renal Amplatz sheath with dilator is a medical set used to create and keep a wide tunnel through the skin into the kidney during kidney stone surgery.
Dilator: A series of firm plastic tubes with tapered tips that gradually stretch the tissue from a small opening to a wide path.
Amplatz Sheath: A smooth plastic tube placed over the final, largest dilator to serve as a stable working port.
